In the fight for a stronger and more resilient future, I Make America seeks to spotlight our supporters who are standing up and telling their stories about how infrastructure impacts them.
Joel, an Iowa resident, shares why he believes a transformational investment in our country’s roads, railways, bridges, broadband, and more will afford new opportunities for American businesses and move the country forward. “Living in rural Iowa presents challenges shared by millions of others who lack access to quality, reliable broadband internet access.
Broadband is turning into a quality-of-life necessity in today's world, especially with the push towards part or full-time remote work, for those that are afforded that opportunity. As an employer, it can be difficult to ask a job applicant to take a step “back in time” to move to a rural area with poor broadband access.
The strong track record of infrastructure spending improving the health of the economy makes it an attractive option to not only stimulate the economy but help heal some of the divisiveness our country suffers from by providing a common goal for us all to work towards.”
