Let's face it, in today's dynamic environment, businesses face challenges in all different aspects such as competition, talent recruitment, and more. However, how can businesses prepare and protect themselves from the challenges that are unexpected such as a fire or an active shooter?
The first Brunch & Business of the season will discuss ways businesses can prepare for and control damage, learn from businesses who have experienced a crisis and have thrived, and learn about government resources available to businesses before and after disaster strikes. Join us October 23 and learn how your business can prepare for the unexpected. This event is free and open to the public.

This month’s Small Business Roundtable topic is “Creating a Marketing Plan – No Matter the Stage of Your Business” presented by Jennifer Mulchandani of Arlington Strategy. During this presentation, learn how to create a doable marketing plan for your business no matter your budget, audience, or stage of growth. The speaker will lead participants through a tactical outline for strategy and planning, and provide tips on how to prioritize your marketing strategies.
If your business is “doing marketing” without a plan, you will benefit from this roundtable. The roundtable is free to members but space is limited and registration is requested.

By Katie Nord, Events Manager, Arlington Chamber of Commerce
I am originally from Baltimore, MD, and decided to spread my wings and join the "Big Ten" family by attending The Ohio State University. Graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English, I had my heart set on becoming a high school English teacher. However, when my uncle decided to open a hockey-themed restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA, with the Pittsburgh Penguins, I decided to move and work as their Events Manager.
