John, today is Labor Day.
But even as we take this day to celebrate workers, workers’ rights are under attack across the country.
Our outdated labor laws have been chipped away and weakened by anti-worker legislators. Every day, we hear about corporations openly union-busting and retaliating against working people without consequence.
That’s why we need the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act. The PRO Act is the most significant worker empowerment legislation since the Great Depression, and was passed earlier this year by the House of Representatives with the promise of being signed into law by President Biden if the Senate passes it as well.
This Labor Day, let’s celebrate workers by telling the Senate to pass the PRO Act and return power to the hands of workers. Will you add your name to our petition now?

More and more of America’s workers want to join a union. Nearly half of all nonunion workers — more than 60 million people — would join a union today if given the chance.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise. When working people come together in a union, we can negotiate for higher wages, better benefits and working conditions, and we also have a real say in critical workplace issues like time off to care for a loved one, the deployment of technology and protection from all kinds of discrimination.
That’s why we need the PRO Act. The PRO Act already passed the House, and if it passes the Senate and is signed by President Biden, it would:
-
Empower workers to form unions and bargain over wages and work conditions.
-
Hold corporations accountable for union-busting.
-
Repeal “right to work” laws, which were created during the Jim Crow era to divide Black and White workers.
Add your name to celebrate Labor Day the right way by telling the Senate to Pass the PRO Act and Protect America's Workers.
