John —
Today is Labor Day, a day where we reflect on the strides the Labor movement has made over the years. From the 40-hour work week to the weekend, we have the activists and leaders who risked their livelihoods to thank for what we have today.
While we still have change to make and a ways to go, we wouldn’t be where we are today without the Labor movement’s work and sacrifice. We’re still working towards higher wages, paid leave, and better working conditions — and together, we will make the progress needed for our laborers.
Also, to those celebrating, Happy Rosh Hashanah! May you have a sweet and healthy new year!
L’Shana Tovah u’metukah!
Thanks,
Carolyn
