I want to take a moment today to wish you and your family a Happy Labor Day!
On this day we celebrate the key to our economy and our daily lives - the American worker - and all we have accomplished together to improve safety, working conditions, fair pay, and eliminate child labor. The American union movement has made the difference for all of us in ensuring the worker has a voice in America and a seat at the table.
Few things are more important than ensuring that all working Virginians have a fair shot. I will be a champion of workers in Congress and I look forward to having the opportunity to prove it.
