I know a lot of folks are taking this long weekend to spend some much-needed time outside, and I hope you are able to safely celebrate with your loved ones. Especially as we near the end of another difficult summer, it's more important than ever that we take some time away to recharge.

So today, let’s celebrate the American Labor Movement and all the workers who keep our country running, even in the middle of a pandemic. And let’s remember why we are able to take time away, because of the tireless work of the American Labor Movement.

This Labor Day, we must commit to not only celebrating all the incredible workers who keep our country running, but to investing in them as well. I am proud to be a champion in Congress for policies like paid leave and affordable child care that support our workers.

Happy Labor Day! Wear a mask, get vaccinated, practice physical distancing, and be safe!
