I stand in solidarity with Maryland workers today and every day.

Happy Labor Day.

Today, we celebrate the unions and the American workers who have tirelessly fought for better wages, better hours, better retirement, and better working conditions. I especially want to take today to thank our frontline workers -- the health care workers, first responders, mail carriers, and countless others -- who are keeping us safe, healthy, and connected during the pandemic.

I stand in solidarity with workers today and every day. That’s why I’m so proud to work with House Democrats to put working families first in Congress.

Together, we delivered one of the biggest tax cuts for working families ever and are working to strengthen and protect workers’ collective bargaining rights for the first time in decades. And I’m working with the Maryland congressional delegation to get to the bottom of why Maryland workers impacted by the pandemic are experiencing delays receiving urgently needed unemployment insurance.

This Labor Day, I hope you will add your name to mine and join me in standing in solidarity with workers.

Dutch
