Happy Labor Day, John. We wanted to take a moment to recognize and honor the workers and unions that make up the backbone of America, and celebrate the labor movement that paved the way for safe working conditions, the right to collective bargaining, the weekend, and so much more.

We are stronger because of working people and the unions that fight to protect them. But across the country, workers and unions are facing threats in the form of legislation that takes power from the people, and puts it in the hands of the wealthy few. 

And here in Georgia, it’s even worse. Georgia has been ranked the 2nd worst state in the country in regards to workers’ rights. 

So as we celebrate the labor movement, and workers across our country today, we must also recommit to fighting for workers’ rights — for an increased wage, an end to right-to-work, and the right to unionize without intimidation.
