Friend,
On this day, Labor Day, we honor the American worker, the men and women who rise up every day to provide for themselves, their families, and their communities.
I think back to this quote by President Abraham Lincoln, from a Sept. 17, 1859, speech delivered during a visit to Cincinnati:
"Labor is the great source from which nearly all, if not all, human comforts and necessities are drawn."
