John,
Happy Labor Day! I hope you’re able to spend your day off with friends and family, and take a minute to appreciate the labor movement that fights for and protects workers’ rights in America.
I’m a father, United States Army Veteran, and former warehouse manager who grew up in a proud union home.
After leaving the United States Air Force, my father joined United Auto Workers local 1765 where he provided maintenance to large machines. My father relied on the union to keep his job secure and ensure he was being compensated fairly with protected benefits.
I understand the important role organized labor plays for so many American families.
We have unions to thank for standing up to corporations and securing workers’s rights. When workers come together we see higher wages, better benefits, and improved working conditions.
As your Congressman, I won’t cave to special interests or the wealthy who are willing to exploit their workers.
Thank you so much for being a part of this campaign. I hope you have a great rest of your long weekend.
