I’ll be honest with you. Our fundraising has really slowed down in the past few days. It was a big setback when we set a goal of $53,740 -- and fell short.

Here’s why I’m concerned: we have a huge end-of-month deadline coming up on October 31st. If we don’t ramp up our fundraising efforts right away, we’re not going to be able to move forward with the big investments we need to win.

That means we can’t open more field offices in the early states, hire more field organizers, and won’t be able to place ads so we can reach more voters. These are things we can only do with your support. Can I count on you to chip in right now?

When we issued a call to action last month that I would only stay in this race if we raised $1.7 million, this team stepped up in a way I never could’ve imagined. We have to recapture this momentum to bring in the resources needed to grow this campaign. I wish I could say that it’s time to take it easy for a while. But that’s not an option -- not if we want to win.
