Happy Labor Day, John!
 
Labor Day is a special time to reflect and thank the hardworking men and women of labor and all of the ways the labor movement has contributed to improving our lives. I’m proud to be the daughter of a union utility worker who taught me the values of hard work, dignity, respect and standing up for fair working conditions and a living wage. This Labor Day, let’s take some time to celebrate the history of the labor movement and recommit ourselves to the fight for workers’ rights. Everyday, I’m advocating for equal pay for equal work, the right to organize and collectively bargain, and ensure working families have a fair shot at the American Dream.
 
Thank you also to our frontline workers and first responders who continue to battle the pandemic and keep our communities safe.
