Happy Monday! Today we are welcoming hundreds of Heritage members to Washington, D.C., for our annual President’s Club Meeting. Every year, we host a series of compelling discussions, inspiring speeches, and the chance to spend time with some of the most dedicated conservatives in America. We are also debuting a new event at this year’s meeting: our first-ever Heritage Honors black-tie gala. Heritage Unveils ‘True North' Principles of Conservatism
As some around the country continue to debate what conservatism is, we at Heritage saw the need to step in and definitively lay out the set of principles—based on America’s founding principles—that made this the strongest, most free, most prosperous nation on earth. We call them the True North principles, and we will officially unveil them today at our annual President’s Club Meeting. “While good conservatives may have differing viewpoints about some aspects of conservatism, there are certain fundamental principles where we must remain resolute. These are our True North principles,” said Heritage President Kay Coles James. “They’re called True North because they represent a fixed direction on which to stay focused, regardless of which way forces may be pressuring us.” Discover these principles of conservatism on Heritage.org.

Heritage Research Helps Poland’s Nomination for Visa Waiver Program
President Donald Trump recently announced that the U.S. Department of State has formally nominated Poland for entry into the Visa Waiver Program, a move The Heritage Foundation has advocated. The Visa Waiver Program allows citizens of specific countries to travel to the United States for tourism and business for up to 90 days without having to obtain a visa, according to the State Department. “Heritage has been the leader on this issue, explaining the security, economic, and foreign policy benefits of the Visa Waiver Program to Congress and the Trump administration,” said David Inserra, who as a policy analyst in Heritage's Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy researched this subject extensively. Heritage Hits New Milestone on YouTube
In a Forbes report from earlier this year, The Heritage Foundation ranked first among think tanks on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and in web traffic. Now, Heritage has hit a new milestone with its reach on YouTube. The Heritage Foundation’s channel surpassed 100,000 subscribers, earning the organization a coveted Silver Award from YouTube. “We’re very excited to have reached this milestone,” said Maria Sousa, Heritage’s digital director. “Our team has worked hard to create an array of video content that allows the research of our experts and the mission of Heritage to be conveniently seen and understood.” Learn more about the award and watch some of our most popular videos.

Friday at 2 p.m., Heritage and the Jesse Helms Center will co-host an event to discuss veterans and health care. This event will feature Robert Wilkie, U.S. secretary of veteran affairs. Watch the event live.
