Folks,
We just launched the biggest grassroots organizing campaign that Western North Carolina’s ever seen. We’re going to beat Madison Cawthorn by #OrganizingEverywhere -- and that means being on the ground in every single one of NC-11’s 17 counties.
As part of our #OrganizingEverywhere tour, I’m excited to share that I’ll be knocking doors in every county in NC-11 by the end of the year to connect personally with voters.
I’ve knocked in two counties so far, with 15 more to go. At our September 18 Day of Action, we’ll be mobilizing folks across the district to join us for knocking.
Will you chip in $17 -- just $1 to support organizing efforts in each county -- to make sure we connect with every single voter we can?
Some folks don’t think it’s worth it for Democrats to knock doors in “red” counties.
That goes against every principle of our campaign.
We believe that every voter matters and every conversation matters. Partisan labels do more to obscure and divide than anything else. We have common values and interests in our community -- the only question is if we can build the bridges to find them.
So how do you build those bridges? It starts with one conversation at a time, and with a whole lot of listening. As a minister, an organizer and an elected official, this kind of interaction is at the core of how I work. And it’s at the core of how we build relationships and create change.
It takes time, and means showing up again and again. It’s worth it and it works. There’s a better way forward -- and we’re blazing that trail together.
Candidly, it also isn’t cheap. We need resources to mobilize our volunteers and keep up our momentum -- can I count on you to chip in $17 or more today?
Together,
Jasmine
