John, did you see Gov. Lujan Grisham's message? I just checked our budget, and we still need 516 more supporters to donate $20.30 to reach our midnight goal.

The UN just called the annual IPCC report "code red for humanity," so it's more important than ever that environmental champions like Gov. Lujan Grisham stay in office. Our team is working every day to keep New Mexico blue – but we need your help.

As the Finance Director, I know Gov. Lujan Grisham is really counting on you to support her climate agenda with a donation today, so I have to ask: Will you donate $20.30 to keep Gov. Lujan Grisham in office and elect Democrats down the ballot?

Subject: UPDATE: preserving the environment and climate

John,

From the peaks and valleys of the Sandia Mountains to the one-of-a-kind caverns of the Carlsbad Caverns National Park, New Mexico has so much natural beauty to offer. That's why I've promoted green initiatives throughout my time in office – and I just made an executive order to protect 30% of our lands by 2030.

I'm committed to keeping our beautiful landscape intact and preserving a livable climate for years to come – but I need your help to continue my work. To celebrate our conservation target for 2030, will you donate $20.30 to help me protect our environment for another four years?

In New Mexico, we have ample access to hiking, fishing, and outdoor recreation – but our way of life is dependent on clean rivers, healthy ecosystems, and bountiful forests. My executive order will allow federal and state agencies to work together to protect our lands and preserve our traditions for generations to come.

Every New Mexican, and our welcomed visitors, should have equal access to the rich natural landscapes our state has to offer – but the legacy of environmental racism has left communities of color polluted and cut off from nature. My executive order will take a step toward righting this wrong by providing equitable land protections for all New Mexicans and honoring the sovereignty of tribal nations.

This conservation target will also combat the climate crisis. Climate scientists urged leaders to protect 30% of the world's lands and oceans by 2030, because keeping natural spaces intact helps reduce global warming. I'm proud to say New Mexico is taking on this science-based target, and I'm committed to taking an active role in our global effort to mitigate climate change.

I'll never stop fighting for clean air, clean water, and a livable climate – no matter how hard the Republican Party pushes back against the undeniable existence of climate change. But I need your help to keep New Mexico blue so that we have environmental champions in every level of office.

Will you donate $20.30 to my reelection campaign today? Every dollar will help my administration preserve our climate and environment.

Together, our grassroots movement has set the wheels in motion to conserve our state’s incredible natural resources and ensure that New Mexico remains, forever, the Land of Enchantment.

Thanks for your support,

Michelle Lujan Grisham
