I had the great privilege of serving alongside legendary civil rights activist John Lewis during his final years of Congress when he was working tirelessly to restore the Voting Rights Act.

And two weeks ago I was proud to provide a critical vote in the House to pass H.R. 4, John Lewis’ signature voting rights bill. The bill would restore the parts of the Voting Rights Act that were gutted by the Supreme Court and ensure racist voter suppression bills like the ones we see in Texas and Georgia never see the light of day again.

We need to get this bill on President Biden’s desk. Can I count on you to sign this petition and demand the Senate take immediate action to protect voting rights?

Voting is the foundation of our democracy. We have to make sure that everyone who has the right to vote, is able to exercise it. Josh and his Democratic colleagues in the House did their job, now we need the Senate to do theirs.
