[link removed] [[link removed]]By a 5–4 vote, the Supreme Court -- packed with Trump Justices -- just allowed Texas to enforce a law that prohibits abortions after six weeks.
This law takes away all agency Texas women once had over their own bodies, and even encourages civilians to turn in their friends and neighbors suspected of seeking abortion-related care.
Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor issued a scathing dissent from this decision, stating, "The Court’s order is stunning. Presented with an application to enjoin a flagrantly unconstitutional law engineered to prohibit women from exercising their constitutional rights ... a majority of Justices have opted to bury their heads in the sand."
