Thanks to your donations and the hard work of more than a dozen staff and volunteers, we just distributed more than 200 bags of nonperishable food items to our residents, supporting hundreds of families.

With so much pain and suffering in the world right now, it felt good to be out in the community, trying to make life better for people who needed it.

Our Rooted in Community Leadership PAC partnered with Pentecostal Temple COGIC to put on the event, and we've been donating directly to local groups, too.

As kids in our community go back to school, they need supplies and support. So we also recently contributed to two backpack drives for schoolkids in Dearborn Heights and Ecorse.
