Team,

The Federal Communications Commission is cracking down on shady political actors -- starting by fining two conservative activists $5.1 million dollars after they made over 1,000 illegal robocalls to discourage voters from mailing in their ballots during the 2020 election.

As NewDems, we’ve pledged to center dignity and decency in politics. That means shedding light on scam artists, stopping extremists from hijacking our electoral process, and holding bad actors accountable.

Robocalls like these are just a small piece of a larger movement by the GOP to sow doubt in our electoral process by discouraging people from participating in our democracy.

It’s dangerous, it’s damaging, and it’s wrong.

We want to know what you think: Do you support the FCC’s crackdown on shady robocalls? [[link removed]]

Thanks,

Team NewDems
