Team,

Every child in Rhode Island deserves to go to a great school. That's why as Treasurer, I've made renovating and rebuilding our public schools one of my top priorities.

The statewide school construction program we launched has allocated over $1.4 billion to transform or replace 176 schools across the state so far. Over the past few months, I've visited school construction sites and seen outstanding progress across the state in Cumberland, Cranston, Newport, Lincoln, and East Providence. Not only are we building great schools, these projects will put over 20,000 people to work.

Building these modern buildings not only improves the health and safety of our schools, it also equips our children for the jobs of the 21st century so that they can graduate with confidence that they can achieve their dreams. Great schools also mean we can attract the kind of jobs that will allow our students to achieve those dreams right here in Rhode Island.

Rebuilding our economy to provide opportunities for all Rhode Islanders starts from the ground up by investing in future generations with high-quality public education. There is no limit to the return on investment in our children's education, and I will keep working to make Rhode Island schools the best they can be.

Thank you,

Seth
