Our children deserve to attend school without the fear of being shot and killed. But, tragically, that is hardly the case in America. School is just getting started, and yet already — Gun violence is killing and traumatizing our children. Places of learning should never turn into battlefields. This is not how a kid in America should grow up. In the 22 years since Columbine, there have been more than 300 school shootings — and close to zero pieces of federal gun safety legislation signed into law.
Let’s set the record straight: The senseless gun violence is preventable. Congress needs to act to make our schools and communities safer — because they're failing our youth if they don't.
Our voices are stronger in the fight to protect our children. Thank you for taking action alongside Brady. In solidarity,
URGENT: Tell the ATF to Stop the Spread of Short-Barreled Assault Rifles! Right now, gun manufacturers and buyers are misusing firearm devices called “stabilizing braces” to skirt federal gun regulations and turn pistols into short-barreled assault rifles. These weapons are growing in popularity amongst mass shooters. Fortunately, President Biden proposed a rule for the ATF to close this deadly legal loophole. But the deadline to support this life-saving measure is Wednesday, September 8, so we need to act fast!

Help Us Prevent Gun Suicide This Suicide Prevention Month
September is Suicide Prevention Month. America’s deadliest shootings are the ones we don’t talk about: Over half of all gun deaths in America are suicides. We lose 63 people to gun suicide in America every day — more than gun homicides and unintentional shootings combined.
We need to talk about gun suicide so that we can talk about how to prevent it — and safe firearm storage must be central to that conversation.
Storing firearms safely is a proven solution to preventing gun suicide. By storing every gun locked, unloaded, and separate from ammunition, we can protect ourselves and our loved ones from the deadliest method of suicide. This Suicide Prevention Month, please visit our safe firearm storage website, EndFamilyFire.org, and share our resources. It could save a life.
VICTORY: Team ENOUGH Los Angeles and Brady Help Pass Legislation to Combat “Ghost Guns” This week, we joined Los Angeles lawmakers to testify in support of a local ordinance to regulate ghost guns, which are untraceable, homemade firearms that require NO background check. High school student and Team ENOUGH Los Angeles member Neve O’Brien proudly testified at the hearing, helping pass the ordinance with unanimous, bipartisan support!
Earlier this year, Team ENOUGH Executive Council member Stephan Abrams filmed a video exposing just how easy it is for minors and other prohibited purchasers to obtain ghost guns. With just a few clicks, he was able to buy a ghost gun kit online, have it shipped to his house, and could have built a fully functioning firearm in less than 30 minutes.
Now, thanks in part to the tireless advocacy of Brady and Team ENOUGH, San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco are part of the growing movement to regulate ghost guns! 🎧Episode 145: Revealing a Concealed-Carry Conversation
Kris West, a firearms instructor and gun safety advocate, returns to “Red, Blue, and Brady'' for a conversation about concealed carry — the practice of carrying and concealing firearms in public places. We discuss why Americans practice concealed carry and how gun violence activists can better understand it and those who practice it. Thank you, John, for staying up-to-date on Brady's work across Congress, courts, and communities. Our work is not possible without grassroots donors like you. Will you consider donating to continue our life-saving work today? Thank you for being a Brady supporter and joining us in the fight to prevent gun violence.
