Friends, this has been a difficult week.

I’ve watched in horror and anger as Texas enacted the most restrictive abortion ban in the country, banning abortions after six weeks.

This law is dangerous. It denies women the basic right to make their own decisions about their bodies and their health care. And it sets the stage for reproductive rights to be further chipped away in states across the country -- including in New Hampshire, where Republicans enacted an abortion ban earlier this year.

This attack on our constitutional rights is deeply scary. But the work is far from over. Now more than ever, we must fight for reproductive freedom and elect pro-choice leaders at all levels of government.

Senator Hassan has been an unwavering champion for reproductive rights in the Senate, cosponsoring key legislation to protect the right to an abortion and leading efforts to increase funding for family planning programs. At a time when Roe v. Wade is under attack like never before, we can’t lose Maggie’s voice in the Senate.
