John,

First, I want to say thank you. With the support of generous grassroots donors in the final 48 hours of August, we reached our fundraising goal for the month! I couldn’t have made it this far without you.

Your generous donations have helped us fill up our gas tank and travel across Montana to meet with folks face-to-face and talk about the issues facing our communities. So, I wanted to give you an update from the campaign trail and share some photos from my travels.

I had a blast celebrating the farmers and ranchers who are keeping our agricultural heritage alive at the Manhattan Potato Festival with the Gallatin County Democrats.

Then, I made my way to Flathead Valley, where the Flathead County Democrats hosted Blue Jam on the Bluff — an incredible event that safely brought friends together from across the valley.

At the end of August, I jumped at the chance to visit Eureka and Libby. As a public servant in a small town, I know what it’s like to work to improve the community you love, and in Congress I will stand up for rural America and ensure we make smart investments in the small towns like these that truly make Montana special.

I also had the chance to share my legislative experience and vision for Montana on the air with KGEZ, and I was fortunate to be interviewed by The Montanan in Libby and ButteNews in Butte.

Now, we are entering the final month of the quarter — a major test for our campaign — and my team has a whole lot planned for September! Already, we have events planned in Livingston, Billings, Bozeman, Helena, and Missoula, with more to come.

All of this is made possible by supporters like you pitching in when you can, showing up to our events, and spreading the word about our campaign for a brighter Montana.

If we keep this up, I know we can turn this new congressional district Blue and give Montanans a leader they can count on in Congress next year.

Look out for more updates, and thanks again for your support!

— Laurie
