Breaking News: Hundreds of Animals Impacted by Hurricane Ida

Following Hurricane Ida’s destruction to the Gulf Coast, we’ve been on the ground conducting water and land rescues throughout south Louisiana for animal victims impacted by the storm. Right now, we are supporting local emergency sheltering needs for homeless cats and dogs who have been displaced.

Emergency animal sheltering is critical to help communities and homeless animals impacted by devastating disasters. In addition to direct care, the transport and placement of homeless animals continues. We’ve already assisted nearly 200 animals,

but our work is far from over. As we work to ensure the safety of our staff and animals in our care in NYC, we continue to field requests for help from other communities impacted by this storm.
