Stories From the Overdose Crisis
We'll be joined by BHRC and Love in the Trenches as well as Delegate Jocelyn Peña-Melnyk and Prince George's County Council Member, the Honorable Calvin Hawkins II.
Hi Friend,
Progressive Maryland's Drug Policy Team wanted to invite you out to our online event on September 15th at 7pm where we will be sharing stories from the Overdose Crisis.
We've been hard at work advancing Drug Policy for all Marylanders. We're working to make sure upcoming Drug Policy laws are equitable and fair, to end this War on Drugs and our people, and that our Brothers and Sisters stop dying. Since we last met, we've been able to start meeting with many of our elected officials and we've heard too many stories about those we've lost because of the inadequacy of our system and policies. We can't wait to share our progress with you and have you join us!
We wanted to take some time to share some of those stories we've been hearing with you and what we can do to fix our system. We'll hear from those most directly impacted by the Overdose Crisis and the failed war on drugs.
We will also outline our state-level policy priorities for next year on Cannabis Legalization, implementing Overdose Prevention Sites, and Drug Decriminalization.
Finally, we will hear from invited elected officials about how they are working to end the drug war and the overdose crisis.
We're looking forward to having you there! You can register at the link below:
