I grew up in the mountains of rural Colorado and was raised in a working-class family. I’m the first person in my family to attend a 4-year college and then go on to graduate law school. I learned the value of hard work and determination at a young age, and these values are what led me to fight for everyday people as Secretary of State. When I first took office, I committed to fighting for every single eligible voter of Colorado to have access to the polls.
