Due to current public health concerns, we have moved our anniversary celebration to April 15th, 2022. It will take place at the Durham Central Park Pavilion.

PAC Endorsements

On September 1st, 2021, members of the People's Alliance came together to endorse candidates in this fall's municipal elections. The endorsements are as follows:

Ward 1: Marion T. Johnson

Action Team Updates

Economic Justice Action Team 

Our September meeting is moved back a week for Labor Day weekend. During our meeting, we will organize our new working groups for the remainder of 2021. Members will have the opportunity to propose action items for working groups to pursue. We will then identify leaders and members for each working group. 

We will meet on September 15th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Click here for the link to the meeting. 

Education Action Team

The Education Action Team will have its monthly meeting Thursday, September 16 at 8 pm via Zoom. Click here to go ahead and register for that meeting. Our agenda includes the following topics:

• Debrief of Back-to-School 2021
• Volunteer opportunities with PA PAC
• Working group sessions for COVID-19 Safety, School Safety (SROs), and Principal Development 

Environmental and Climate Justice Action Team

The EJ/CJ Action Team will meet at our normal time on Wednesday, September 15th from 7-8:30 pm. Register Here and we’ll follow up to confirm in-person and virtual participation options.

Events Around Durham 

The People's Alliance will be a co-sponsor of the "Bull City BBQ Bash" on September 4th from 12:00 to 5:00 pm at Mike D's BBQ Supply And General Store in Durham, NC. Be sure to stop by for live music, shopping, and food!
