Dear friend, 

I wanted to reach out to you personally in light of the Supreme Court’s decision to allow Texas to implement its extreme and unconstitutional attack on reproductive freedom. 

Not only does their bill ban abortion at 6 weeks -- long before many people even know they’re pregnant -- it also encourages vigilantism, financially incentivizing community members to turn on each other. 

This bill, which will disproportionately impact working communities, LGBTQ+ communities, and communities of color, threatens millions of Texans and signals a serious attack on the federal right to choose. It is part of a national agenda to ban safe abortions, and we clearly can’t count on the radical Republicans on the Supreme Court to stand up for our care. 

But while this is a devastating blow to our fight for reproductive justice, we must continue to work to ensure everyone who needs it has access to affordable reproductive care. Will you join me?

Abortion is healthcare, and I’m working with my Democratic colleagues in Congress to pass a law to protect it. When the Supreme Court fails our communities, it’s down to us to fight back.
