Ninety percent of Texas abortions are now illegal because the Supreme Court upheld Texas' draconian abortion ban. If we don't fight back, this law will have dangerous consequences, especially for Black and Brown Texans.

Late last night, news broke that the Supreme Court refused to block Texas' six-week abortion ban. This law bans abortion after just six weeks -- before most women even know they're pregnant. It gives reward money to private citizens who help enforce this extreme law, making this ban the most egregious assault on women's rights and the gravest threat to reproductive health care in generations.

I won't accept these continued assaults on Roe v. Wade. Extremist politicians are telling women what to do with their own bodies, and because of it, millions of women will be unable to access abortion services in the United States of America. All because of the Supreme Court's cowardice.

Texas' law is the most draconian, but it is not the last of its kind. Women across the country -- especially Black and Brown women -- are counting on us to fight back to affirm their freedoms.

I am proud of my 40 year legacy of standing up for women's rights. All people -- no matter how much money they make, the color of their skin, who they love, how they identify, or what their unique health care needs are -- should have access to affordable and comprehensive health care.
