 So get this.
When I announced my run against Do-Nothing Republican Dan Webster in Florida’s 11th district, my opponent’s response to the media about the race came from a lady named Jaryn Emhof.
Here’s what she said:
“Mr. Webster never takes reelection for granted – he works hard every day to serve his constituents and campaigns hard every year.”
So according to Ms. Emhof, Do-Nothing Dan is working hard every day and . . . uh . . . yeah . . . he’s working hard every year too.
Sure, Dan Webster is working super hard . . . except when Democrats want to vote on their sham impeachment against President Trump, then Dan Webster is nowhere to be found and couldn’t be bothered to cast a vote.
Actually, in the first half of 2021, Congressman Daniel Webster has missed 21.3% of his votes!
There’s a reason why he’s gained the nickname “Do-Nothing Dan”.
Don’t you think that Members of Congress have an obligation to show up and do their jobs just like we have an obligation to show up for work throughout our careers?
Would you have a job or still be in business if you didn’t bother to show up 20% of the time?
What if you skipped out on working 29% of the time like Dan Webster did in the 1st Quarter of 2020?
Or how about 27% of the time like he did in the last quarter of 2018?
Do-Nothing Dan’s rampant absenteeism stretches back to 2013, after he won his second term in Congress.
I guess that “can’t get fired” mentality effects our politicians too.
Want me to work for you instead? I’d be happy to, just give me a hand to get to Washington.
I’ll even make you a stern promise, when elected, as long as I’m not behind bars, dead or damn-near dead on my death bed, I won’t be missing any votes as a member of Congress.
And that’s an easy promise to keep.
