This week, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 against precedent that the most restrictive abortion law in the nation could go into effect. There has been a relentless and decades-long attack on reproductive rights, and this Supreme Court ruling functionally overturns Roe v. Wade and the protections that it provides to women.
Governors are the last line of defense for choice now, and Governor Whitmer will always stand up for a woman’s right to choose. But all 10 of the Republican candidates remained silent on this week’s catastrophic blow to reproductive rights.
