Hi John,
United communities present a nightmare for the far right because in places where people look out for one another, trust one-another and work together to solve the challenges that a community faces, there are fewer opportunities for them to divide neighbour from neighbour.
Communities aren't built overnight: they are the product of people coming together to build a sense of inclusion that makes a particular place a home for everyone. That’s why we’re launching the HOPE Heroes campaign, supported by Community Union.
The HOPE Heroes campaign will recognise, celebrate and — for the 3 winners — financially reward those who have helped to unite their communities and build resilience against the far right.
Already have someone in mind that you’d like to nominate? Head to our nomination form to let us know who your HOPE hero is and they’ll be in with a chance of winning £5,000 to support their work.
Nominate your HOPE hero
Over the next couple of months, we will be asking members of the public to nominate the local project, group or activist who has been providing hope to local people and in the process making life harder for the far right by creating stronger communities.
From these nominees we will create a shortlist of the 20 best projects, all of which will be promoted on HOPE not hate’s website and social media channels.
When nominations have closed, with your help we will pick three winners who will receive financial prizes to support their work: £1,000 for 3rd place, £3,000 for 2nd place and £5,000 for 1st place.
We hope that these prizes will make a big difference to the work of these HOPE heroes and ensure the projects keep changing lives, building stronger communities and reducing the opportunities for the far right to organise.
If you would like to be part of championing and rewarding the important work of HOPE heroes, please nominate someone today.

Thank you for everything you do,
