Dear Housing Justice

We are terribly sorry for the typo in the subject line
on our previous email sent out today. We are resending this email with
the proper subject title "Rental Assistance is
Still Available".
We’ve won so much! Every renter
household In California who has experienced income loss due to COVID
and whose income is below 80% of the area median (which is pretty
high) can receive rental assistance to cover all their back rent and even some
future rent!!! And there is also utility assistance.
This is amazing!
And/but, we now have to make sure
that: a) We all get our money! -- that every eligible tenant gets the
financial assistance they need, and b) That NO evictions for failure
to pay rent during COVID occur.
We are also gearing up to take on
some of the biggest, most powerful, corporate landlords and
speculators such as Greystar and Blackstone. Our power comes from
all of us, standing together. Join us!

involved this week to fight for Housing Justice with ACCE:

Meeting will be held Saturday, September 11, at 10 am! Join us to get
the newest updates about the housing justice fight with
ACCE!

2. Don't
forget to make a call to your local legislator to urge them to pass
the right to counsel bill AB 1487! IF PASSED, this bill would provide
funding for tenants to be able to have an attorney to represent them
in court!
Take 2 minutes out of your day or night to
take action by calling and emailing your legislator
today! Take Action Today!
As you continue your week and
journey this week, just remember that there is power in numbers, and
the more people we bring together to fight back, we will see some
change!

¡Hemos ganado tanto! Cada hogar
inquilino en California que haya experimentado una pérdida de ingresos
