It’s unconscionable that, in 2021, our generation must continue to fight for a right that should have been settled 48 years ago. But last night, the conservative majority on the Supreme Court declined to block a Texas law that imposes the harshest abortion restrictions in the nation.
Reproductive rights are under attack at the state level. The new Texas law prohibits abortions after six weeks — before most people even know they are pregnant. What’s more, the law enables private citizens to sue abortion providers and anyone who helped someone else access an abortion, including spouses, friends, and even ride-share drivers. This ban is cruel and sets an absolutely devastating precedent.
We need overwhelming majorities in Congress to do whatever it takes to defend Roe v. Wade and protect reproductive rights at a federal level — and as a co-chair of recruitment at the DCCC, I’m helping lead the charge to elect more pro-choice members of Congress.
If you have the capacity, please consider contributing to my campaign today to ensure we hold our Democratic majority in Congress and don’t lose the rights we secured nearly 50 years ago.

There is no other choice; we must keep working for each person’s right to make their own health care decisions. Thank you for standing with me on this crucial issue. To keep me in Congress defending reproductive rights and working to elect more pro-choice Representatives, please chip in to my campaign today.
Thank you,
Sara
