New polling shows Gavin Newsom only narrowly beating the recall. As governor, he trusted the science on COVID-19 and helped California lead the nation -- with more than 80% of eligible Californians receiving at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. On the other hand, the Republican frontrunner is Larry Elder. The prospect of someone who is anti-science, anti-vax, and pro-Trump who has already pledged to repeal all of California's safety measures against the pandemic is absolutely disastrous. We're setting a stretch goal of raising $50,000 in online contributions before September 14th to crush this recall effort. It's going to take tons of people chipping in so we can get the word out to more Democrats to return their ballots and show up before the election. With Delta raging, we can't leave anything to chance. Newsom has proved to be the best in the nation in battling COVID-19, and now we need to have his back.
