If you’ve seen the news, you know that the Supreme Court has given a green light to Texas in its cruel circumventing of Roe v. Wade.
We have to be honest with you, we’re feeling frustrated, angry, and even a little scared, too. For 48 years, generations of activists have been on the frontlines in the fight to protect a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions.
Make no mistake, the Supreme Court has created a public health crisis for millions of women.
Texas’s cruel anti-choice law, which bans abortion at six weeks — far before most folks can tell they’re pregnant — encourages private citizens to sue anyone who assists in the abortion process. And folks, there isn’t even an exemption in cases of rape or incest.
Like the pro-choice activists that have come before us, it’s time that we stand up and raise our voices against the recent barbaric decision from the Supreme Court.

By allowing Texas Republicans to strengthen their chokehold on women’s rights, the Supreme Court could easily let this happen in any state.
