Bad news, friend -- despite heroic efforts by Texas Democrats, the state legislature recently passed Republicans' onerous and discriminatory voter suppression bill and Governor Greg Abbott is expected to sign it into law. And don’t forget, this is the same legislature responsible for the reprehensible anti-abortion bill just upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.
We'll be honest, the news out of Texas is a blow -- but we will never stop fighting for the freedom to vote and for the people to have legislators that actually represent their values. Are you with us?

Their manipulation includes changing voting rules to keep certain people away from the polls, as well as rigging district maps for partisan gain -- which we believe Texas legislators are doing right now. But whether those maps make it into law will depend on what this movement does in the next few weeks and months.
Friend, many states are expected to release their initial maps this month, so time is running out for you to make a difference. Can you chip in now to give us the resources we need to fight for fairness in our elections?
