When I joined the Marine Corps after the attacks on September 11, 2001, I did so for a number of reasons. I was inspired to take action, and answer a call to public service. I felt a strong commitment to our shared values, and an unshakable belief in the future of our country.

These are the same motivations that led me to the Maine House of Representatives, and they are the same motivations driving my campaign for Congress.

I'm running for Congress because I believe it's time for a new generation of leaders representing us in Washington. Leaders who will fight for a fair economy, good paying jobs, quality and affordable healthcare, stronger unions, and to protect our environment.
