Hello John,

With the NPH Conference only a few weeks away (Friday, September 24) and registration closing Friday, September 10, I want to make sure you have a chance to secure your tickets, if you haven’t already done so.

Registration closes September 10

I also want to share that I believe wholeheartedly that events like our 42nd Annual NPH Affordable Housing Conference are a key way that our movement can build long-term strategy toward housing and racial justice and build power, together. How so?

Not only does coming together as an industry reinforce and solidify our commitment to securing justice, but it creates a powerful opportunity to grow in our shared knowledge and expertise.

Conference Keynote Announced!

We are thrilled to share that this year’s conference keynote will be delivered by Pulitzer Prize winner and The New York Times Magazine staff writer Nikole Hannah-Jones along with Reverend Dr. William J. Barber II, who is President and Senior Lecturer of Repairers of the Breach and Co-Chair of the Poor People’s Campaign.

They will present: Grounding in Historical and Current Realities to Advance an Anti-Racist Housing Movement for Justice and Liberation, which will inspire attendees to build an anti-racist housing justice movement that centers racial equity in our organizations as well as the broader affordable housing industry.

As I gain more experience in my role as NPH’s Policy Manager, it’s clear that our industry gains so much power and momentum from these capacity building opportunities, a chance to pause and take stock of where we’ve been and where we so urgently need to go in order to bring critically needed affordable housing solutions to our Bay Area communities.

I look forward to learning and growing with you.

Onward,

Beilul Naizghi,
