Texas Republicans just passed the most aggressive abortion law in the U.S.

Senate Bill 8 bans all abortions after six weeks -- before most people even realize they are pregnant -- and encourages any person to sue healthcare providers who perform an abortion after six weeks. That’s right -- Texas is creating bounty hunters to go after abortion providers. 

SB 8 is one of the most toxic, anti-choice, dangerous pieces of legislation to target reproductive healthcare in the country. We won’t let this stand.

The effects of SB 8 are clear: Texas Republicans are both policing women’s healthcare and establishing the precedent that ordinary citizens should have the ability to decide their neighbor’s rights based on their own beliefs.
