1. Should Loopholes Allowing Foreign Interference & Deceptive Practices in U.S. Elections be Closed?

This bill — the SHIELD Act of 2019 — would combat foreign interference in U.S. elections by closing loopholes that allow foreign spending in U.S. elections, boosting disclosure and transparency requirements, and creating a duty to report illicit offers of campaign assistance from foreign nations.  Vote now →

2. Should Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) Be Condemned & Censured by the House for Misleading the American Public?

This resolution would condemn and censure Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) for misleading the American public in his role as Intelligence Committee chairman. Specifically, the resolution would condemn Schiff for purporting to relay a transcribed conversation between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an open impeachment hearing, but instead delivering an “egregiously false and fabricated retelling [which] had no relationship to the call itself.” The resolution would also fault Schiff for concealing his contact with the Ukraine call whistleblower and lying to the American public by saying “we have not spoken directly with the whistleblower.”  Vote now →

3. Should Animal Torture Be a Federal Crime?

This bill, the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act, would strengthen the 2010 Animal Crush Video Prohibition Act, which made the depiction of animal cruelty a crime but didn’t establish penalties for committing the act of animal cruelty. This bill would make it a federal crime for any person to crush, burn, drown, suffocate, impale, sexually exploit, or otherwise torture animals across state lines. It’d also make it a federal crime to engage in animal crushing on federal property. People convicted under this act would face federal felony charges, fines, and up to seven years in prison.  Vote now →
