The total amount of student loan debt owed by borrowers across the country
has reached $1,842,204,407,728.

Ayanna and our movement have been leading the fight to cancel at least
$50,000 in federal student loan debt for every borrower.

The Department of Education just recently extended the pause on student
loan payments until next year, and announced the cancelation of student
debt for over 300,000 borrowers through the Total and Permanent Disability
(TPD) discharge program.

This is important progress, but we must keep up the pressure on the Biden
Administration to extend much needed relief to millions more Americans
saddled with student loan debt.

Storytelling is one of the best organizing tactics we have to show the
enormous burden student loan debt creates and keep up the pressure to
cancel it. [ [link removed] ]we want to know: How would the
cancellation of $50,000 in student loan debt help you?

[ [link removed] ]Take our student debt survey

As of July 2021, borrowers had saved a total of $72 billion in interest
during the pause on federal student loan payments due to Covid-19. These
savings could help millions cover other critical expenses or build wealth
for the future; just imagine what permanently cancelling $50,000 in
student loan debt could do for families, communities, and our economy.

us: What would the cancellation of $50,000 in student loan debt mean for
you?

Your story will help keep up the pressure on the Biden Administration to
do what’s right and extend relief to millions of student borrowers.

Thank you in advance for sharing,

The A-Team
