Hello —
Last night, the Supreme Court refused to block an outrageous abortion ban in Texas that practically overturns Roe v. Wade in our nation’s second-largest state. The law not only bans abortions after just six weeks (before most folks know they are pregnant!), but it also allows anyone to sue someone for assisting in an abortion for up to $10,000 — from doctors to rideshare drivers taking people to the clinic.
We cannot let this stand. It’s unconstitutional and it’s plain wrong.
If you’re with me, add your name to my petition demanding Congress pass the Women’s Health Protection Act to legalize abortion immediately, no matter what the Supreme Court decides. [[link removed]]

This year alone, Republican lawmakers in state legislatures across the country have introduced more than 500 anti-choice bills limiting reproductive freedom, restricting access to safe and legal abortion, or outright banning it.
And in a few weeks, the Supreme Court’s 6-3 conservative majority will hear a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade — one that could overturn the law and wipe out abortion access in Republican-held states across the country.
Anti-choice Republicans have been plotting this move for decades, and Mitch McConnell has helped carried out their plan: Pack the federal court system with right-wing judges, pass unconstitutional abortion-ban bills in state legislatures, challenge Roe before the Supreme Court’s right-wing majority of justices, and establish a far-right agenda that would exist even after they leave office.
Well, I won’t stand by and let Republicans topple Roe and the rights it guarantees.
Join me in fighting for reproductive freedom by signing on to my petition demanding Congress pass the Women’s Health Protection Act — legislation to finally protect the right to abortion by federal law. [[link removed]]

Everyone has the right to make their own decisions about their health and future without far-right Republicans meddling.
I’ll never stop fighting to protect our rights. Thanks for signing on and fighting with me.
