Dear John,
This past Sunday, Hurricane Ida ravaged the Gulf Coast, prompting mass evacuations and leaving millions without electricity and water. Communities already devastated by COVID-19 are now faced with new hardship as they struggle to rebuild. ?
Will you donate to help hospitality and food service workers impacted by Hurricane Ida?
People living at the margins of our economy are always the hardest hit when natural disasters strike. Our union has seen this firsthand as workers in our industries confront hurricanes, fires, extreme temperatures and power outages with greater frequency.
Climate justice is an economic and racial justice issue, and a priority for our Union. The Labor Movement has the capacity to bring together those most affected by the climate crisis to take action that can drive transformative change and overcome enormous obstacles. ?
Right now, hospitality workers in the Gulf Coast urgently need relief, and as a union, we are in a position to ensure that relief gets directly into the hands of those who need it most.
Please donate today to provide relief to workers hard hit by Hurricane Ida.
Thank you,
D. Taylor, President
