Throughout the city of New Orleans, there are still numerous volunteer opportunities for those who are able and willing to help out around our community. See the list of organizations in need of volunteers below:
Organizations Only: Help Distribute Supplies ([link removed])

The City of New Orleans is in need of assistance for public sites where individuals can find food and/or essential items in need! Organizations, please complete the form at cityofnola.click/supplies and let us know what your availability is to get these critical needs to New Orleanians across the city.

NOLA Ready Cooling & Charging Center ([link removed])

Volunteers are needed at cooling and charging centers. For more information click HERE ([link removed]) .

* Gernon Brown Rec Center - 1001 Harrison Ave.
* Milne Rec Center - 5420 Franklin Ave.

* John P. Lyons Rec Center - 624 Louisiana Ave.
* Joe W. Brown Rec Center - 5601 Read Blvd.
* Rosenwald Rec Center - 1120 S. Broad St.

If you decide to volunteer with NOLA Ready please bring comfortable shoes, long pants, rain gear, charger for your devices, snacks, water bottle, sunscreen, hat, sun-gear, or anything else you may need.
Housing Authority of New Orleans ([link removed])
The Housing Authority of New Orleans ([link removed]) is in need of volunteers to assist with the emptying out of refrigerators at various HANO properties around the city.

Together Louisiana ([link removed])
Together Louisiana ([link removed]) is reaching out on a mass scale to people in the most disaster-affected areas to help assess their needs.

They need volunteers for a text bank (Thursday, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m.) to send out a needs assessment survey. Click here to sign up for the text bank. ([link removed])

Sankofa Community Development Corporation ([link removed])
Sankofa Community Development Corporation ([link removed]) is in need of volunteers to pack pantry boxes and help with the distribution of items.

Volunteers are needed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

The Howlin Wolf and Culture Aid NOLA ([link removed])

The Howlin Wolf ([link removed]) and Culture Aid NOLA ([link removed]) are in need of chefs and volunteers to feed members of the surrounding community.

They are also in urgent need of gas, gas cans, ice, propane, firewood, charcoal, grills, water, and Gatorade (bottled or powder).
