Fellow patriot,
The pro-life movement finally won. The United States Supreme Court issued a decision last night denying emergency relief to a group of abortion providers in Texas. America First Legal had joined the legal team defending the Texas Heartbeat Act and jointly filed a brief before the United States Supreme Court. We were truly honored to be co-counsel in this historic case, on behalf of this landmark bill, and in order to protect the most vulnerable among us: children in their mothers' wombs.
There were more than 50,000 abortions performed in Texas alone last year–these children had limitless potential and the exact same right as you and I to pursue their God-given potential. We pray to God that our role in defense of the Heartbeat Act will help to rescue the lives of countless innocent children so that they can share their dreams, their love, and their potential with the world.
Details: America First Legal served as co-counsel for Mark Lee Dickson, one of the named defendants in Whole Woman’s Health, et al., v. Judge Austin Reeve Jackson, et al. Our brief asked the Court to deny an “emergency” effort by a group of abortion providers and related pro-abortion activist organizations to block enforcement of the Act. And last night, a majority of the Supreme Court of the United States agreed with the position in our brief and denied emergency relief to the abortion providers.
This is the most significant victory for the pro-life movement in 50 years. But we know that pro-abortion advocates will continue to try to find ways to challenge the law, and we will continue to assist with its defense. If you are able, please consider a donation to support our efforts today. We also urge you to grow the team of AFL Patriots by getting your friends and family to sign-up for AFL Alerts so they can be kept up-to-date on all the latest in the legal battle for the survival of America.
