I’ll be transparent with you: We came up short of our end-of-month fundraising goal for August.

With the next FEC reporting deadline less than a month away, we’ll have some work to do to ensure we have the resources to keep spreading Barbara’s message and growing our movement as our finance numbers go public.

But let me be clear: the sky isn’t falling and this isn’t the end of the world. We have plenty of time to make up this ground.

And we won’t let this take away from any of the work this team contributed to last month:

• When an earthquake struck Haiti, this team raised record funds for emergency relief efforts on the ground.
• When American citizens and our Afghan allies were left behind during the Taliban takeover, over 1,000 grassroots supporters signed Barbara’s petition to demand the Biden administration get them home swiftly and safely.
• When the polls tightened in the California recall election, this team stepped up for Gov. Newsom to help overcome the right-wing power grab with Election Day just weeks away.

Barbara’s campaign for a better, more just future is stronger because of you, and our work is just getting started.
