It should come as no surprise that the Left continues to attack the US oil and gas industry. From shutting down the Keystone pipeline to blocking drilling permits, liberals seek to exacerbate our dependence on foreign oil. The Biden administration’s more recent actions have discouraged any new expansion of oil and gas projects in the United States. In 2019, the US became a major exporter of crude oil and natural gas products. However, under this administration, we are instead turning toward more hostile figures like Russia or China to supply our oil.
Not only do these policies stifle our economic growth, they also threaten an industry that directly employs over 500,000 Americans. Outsourcing jobs and relying on other countries for energy will only cripple our recovery from the pandemic.
That’s why conservatives continue to fight for energy independence and security, economic prosperity, and a healthy job market.
