This barbaric new Texas law bans all abortions after 6 weeks, before most women even know they’re pregnant, and allows abortion providers (or anyone who assists someone with getting an abortion) to be sued and ordered to pay $10,000 to anti-abortion bounty hunters.
The Supreme Court could have blocked this law from going into effect today, but thanks to Trump stacking the Court with conservatives, they didn’t.
A separate Mississippi anti-abortion law will soon be heard by the Court, and legal experts predict that this could ultimately ovterturn Roe v. Wade and lead to more total abortion bans across the entire country.
