Friend - Immigrant’s rights are worker’s rights!
Labor Day Weekend is coming up, for many it’s a day off work to relax and enjoy with loved ones. But not everyone has that privilege. Labor day celebrates how past generations of workers fought for the rights many of us take for granted - the 8 hour work day, weekends, and more humane working conditions.
Right now, we are in a crucial moment in the fight for citizenship for millions. A pathway to citizenship has been included in the Senate budget resolution, but we need to keep the pressure on Congress as they negotiate to ensure citizenship stays in the final version of the bill. Can you join me in sending a letter to your Senator and House Rep demanding they deliver citizenship for millions this year?

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, this country has applauded essential workers for how they have put their own health and lives at risk for the sake of keeping the country’s economy running. Millions of essential workers are Black and Brown undocumented folks who have not received a dime of government relief. We’re fighting for citizenship and permanent protections because that is the relief our communities need.
Citizenship is a form of relief for undocumented workers, and that’s why we continue to demand it. Just as workers of past generations have fought to advance their rights by uniting as a powerful force and leveraging public pressure to win, we will do the same. We will not let America forget the people who have kept the country moving forward.
Let’s make this the Labor Day where we win permanent protections for millions of our undocumented community. Send a letter to your Senator and House Rep today!
